M-Lens Coding
Owners of older Leica M-Lenses can now optimise them for digital use. With the 6-bit coding, older M-Lenses receive new markings on the bayonet ring. These markings help digital Leica M-Cameras recognise the lens type and optimise the image quality. Thus, photographers can enjoy the imagery characteristics of their older M-Lenses in combination with contemporary digital photography.

You love your camera and fancy giving it an individual look? Then head down to our Customer Care to select your favourite Leica-tested, certified full cowhide leathers. We have a range of new to classic leather colours available.
We will renew the leather of your Leica M, SL, Q or CL camera – tailor-made to your wishes.
The Leica Service Certificate
As a special service, we offer the opportunity to have your products tested on our Leica certified measuring and testing instruments according to specified criteria, regardless of the age of the product.
After your camera or lens has successfully passed the test, we will issue an original Leica Service Certificate including a warranty of 24 months from the date of inspection.
